Q: Our church installed the EL1690 device with a PS914 power Supply with 900-2RS 0ption board. Installation is on two doors. When our system (Keri Doors) schedule calls for both doors to open at a given time, the doors begin to try to activate every 15-20 seconds. If we schedule the two doors to open a minute apart there is no problem. Can you advise why we are unable to open both doors simultaneously?
A: This is because both devices are asking for 16 amp at the same moment which exceeds what the PS914 can deliver.
Solution 1. Install a relay in line so as to offset the power request but a second or two.
Solution 2. (preferred) Substitute the 900-4RL board for the 900-2RS board and this will resolve your issue. When using the 900-4RL board and hitting both inputs at the same time will not knock the breaker out in the power supply as it does with the 900-2RS board.

Q: Do you have a single part number I can pull from the shelf to turn it into a EL1690
A: Unfortunately there is no EL conversion kit for the 1690. You must order a complete EL1690 device.
