Deltana DASH95

Q: Craig is calling bc he has a Deltana DASH95 and he wants to ask if we think if he removes the two plastic rollers from this part if we think that it would remove the hold open attribute with no issues with the centering... Im going to forward him if that is ok. He was looking for one without the hold open feature but told him this is the only one that Deltana.

I called in and spoke with Richard about modifying a Deltana Dash95 in an attempt to make it non hold open. It is installed between my kitchen and pantry so receives allot of traffic. The clacking is much louder than I expected it to be and it even clicks around 45 degrees even though that is short of the stay open position. My final option will be to order a Bommer 7813 from you to replace it but colors are limited. My idea is to remove the hinge, and then remove the 2 plastic rollers that the birds mouth engages when in the hold open position. I know I will be off warranty and would have no support expectation on a modified product. Because I have already notched the door for this style spring hinge my options re very limited.
