Q: Hi, just wondering if this will work in my application...I will have a pedestal sink 33" high and a ledge 6" high ledge built directly behind the sink. I hope to recessed the soap dish into the front
A: You want to recess it into the front of the ledge or above the ledge?
Q: For some reason my reply won't post... in regards to the bobrick recessed soap dispenser. Installation is in the front of the ledge. Thats why the hand clearance under the dispenser is an issue as the height of the ledge is only 6" The locker rooms are used by unsupervised kids and there might be dribble of soap. I want the soap to dribble on to the sink, not the floor! Thanks
A: Your concern is very well considered as i have seen countless soap dispensers very poorly placed ad yes, dripping soap will prove to be a maddening maintenance issue. Can you tell me is distance from th face of the ledge to the beginning of the curve of the vessel?
Q: Its not constructed yet, starting November 1 which is why I am trying to plan for this if it will work...In answer to your question, the front face to the ledge will be right behind the front face of the bobrick. The issue is the height of the soap dispenser, since the sink will be fairly close to the bottom of the bobrick. Hoping we are on the same page! Thanks
A: I understand your concern is the vertical clearance. My question is when the soap drips, will it drip into the vessel?
Q: ahhh, probably not but at least it will drip onto the pedastal sink back and not the floor! The sinks are the Kohler reve 23" semipedestal wall mounted...Is the Ada spout further out? would this be a better choice? Again thanks
Reviewing the technical drawing as seen here:
I am very convinced there is not nearly enough room to install the Bobrick B-306 in the 6" tall ledge space and would avoid the ledge area altogether.
Does your pedestal sink allow room to install a vanity top mounted unit such as the AJW U128PC as seen here:
Might this work?
