Questions and Answers
Q: I am wanting to change out baldwin door lock set. I received a new inside knob adapter but I am unable to get the outside part of knob off. The part that was sent is 8493.003.068. I got the inside apart from the brass but cannot figure how to get brass off the outside portion. I watched a you tube video but it gave me everything except how to get the key side off hold on let me ask the owner if they know. Photos are here:

Any advice? I am totally stuck.

A: Is there a small access hole in the stem of the lock under the knob?
Q: yes i tried pushing that in and then try pulling off but it didn't budge
A: okay - good but do not push it in first insert the key turn it 90° CW or CCW then push in the pin.
Q: okay let me get key and ill try give me a sec - okay didn't come completely off but it did give access to allen screw is that going in right direction - okay got i just had to pull more. thanks Richard for your help i was beatn my head against the wall - thanks man appreciate it have a good one
